What WhatWeShipped Does
WhatWeShipped is a changelog and roadmap management platform that helps development teams:
- Connect GitHub repositories and sync commits automatically
- Generate user-friendly changelogs from technical commits using AI
- Create and manage product roadmaps with status tracking
- Share public project pages with custom subdomain URLs
- Collaborate with team members in organizations
We offer both free and paid plans to accommodate different team sizes and requirements.
Account Terms
To use WhatWeShipped, you must:
- Be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction)
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
- Be responsible for all activity under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
Organization accounts may be created by authorized representatives and are subject to additional terms regarding team member access and billing.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use WhatWeShipped responsibly. You may not:
- Upload malicious content, spam, or illegal material
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Use the service to harass, abuse, or harm others
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Interfere with or disrupt the service's operation
- Use automated tools to scrape or download large amounts of data
- Share your account credentials with others
Your Content and Privacy
You retain ownership of all content you upload to WhatWeShipped, including:
- Project descriptions and changelog entries
- Roadmap items and feature descriptions
- Comments and collaborative content
By using our service, you grant us the necessary rights to store, process, and display your content to provide the service. For public project pages, you grant us the right to make that content publicly accessible.
We respect your privacy and handle your data according to our Privacy Policy. We never sell your personal information or use your private project data for marketing purposes.
Payment and Billing
For paid plans:
- Billing occurs monthly or annually as selected
- All fees are non-refundable except as required by law
- We may change pricing with 30 days advance notice
- You're responsible for keeping payment information current
- Failed payments may result in service suspension
Free plans have usage limitations as described on our pricing page. Upgrade to a paid plan for additional features and higher limits.
Service Availability and Support
We strive to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee 100% uptime. We may occasionally need to:
- Perform scheduled maintenance (with advance notice when possible)
- Make emergency fixes or security updates
- Implement new features or improvements
Pro plan customers receive priority support. Free plan users receive community support with reasonable effort response times.
GitHub Integration
When you connect your GitHub account, you authorize us to:
- Access repository information and commit data
- Read repository metadata and file changes
- Sync commits and releases automatically
We only access the minimum data necessary to provide our service. You can revoke this access at any time through your GitHub settings or by disconnecting repositories in WhatWeShipped.
Account Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time:
- You can delete your account from your settings page
- We may suspend accounts that violate these terms
- Paid subscriptions can be cancelled anytime (service continues until period end)
- We'll provide reasonable notice before terminating accounts for policy violations
Upon termination, you'll lose access to the service, but we'll provide a reasonable period to export your data.
Limitation of Liability
WhatWeShipped is provided "as is" without warranties. We're not liable for:
- Data loss or corruption (though we maintain regular backups)
- Service interruptions or downtime
- Third-party integrations (like GitHub) malfunctioning
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms occasionally. When we do:
- We'll notify you via email or in-app notification
- Changes take effect 30 days after notification
- Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance
- You can terminate your account if you disagree with changes
